In December 2020, arete Australia was engaged by RMIT University to construct a new, innovative waste and biosolid transformation research facility at their Bundoora campus. The project involved the refurbishment of 340sqm of existing space within building 211.
The scope of work for the project included the demolition of existing services and internal fabrics, as well as the installation of new services. The team also constructed a specialist equipment housing area, eye wash and safety showers, laboratory and office spaces, and a consolidated sorting and storage area for the adjacent stakeholders.
The project was successfully completed by arete Australia in June 2021, providing RMIT University with a state-of-the-art research facility that will enable them to continue their work in waste and biosolid transformation. We take pride in our involvement in this project and the positive impact it will have on the environment and the scientific community.
