In 2022, arete Australia took on the challenging and rewarding task of transforming a former University of Melbourne laboratory into a cutting-edge medical imaging facility. Located on Level 2 of the Smorgon Family Wing at The Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital in East Melbourne, this 1,800 sqm space has been meticulously converted to meet world-class standards.
The newly established facility is now equipped with advanced medical imaging technology, including two MRIs, CT, X-ray, Ultrasound, and Mammography. Additionally, it houses a medication room, patient holding and recovery areas, Radiologist reporting, interview and consulting rooms, a Multi-disciplinary team conference room, patient waiting areas, and administrative offices.
This project was executed with precision and care, ensuring minimal disruption to the hospital's ongoing operations. The team's dedication to quality assurance and meticulous planning enabled the successful installation of specialist equipment and the seamless integration of the new facility within the existing hospital infrastructure.
