Oxfam Trailwalker 2018

28th March, 2018

Oxfam believe all lives are equal and no-one should live in poverty and they work to empowering communities to tackle poverty. Oxfam envisage a world in which people can influence decisions that affect their lives, enjoy their rights, and assume their responsibilities—a world in which everyone is valued and treated equally. Oxfam can’t do this without support and that is why we participate in the Oxfam Trailwalker every year.

Well done to the arete Oxfam team Matt Rossi, Glen Owen, Richard Xu and Matthew Munro (Arete 1) on a fantastic effort completing the 100km Oxfam Trailwalker on Friday 23rd March 2018. The team successfully completed the walk in 21 hours and 2 minutes, raising a whopping $11,315 so far.

We also had three other Kane/arete teams who completed the Oxfam Trailwalker, Chloe Rees, Bobbie Ryan, Hayley Plose and Lachy Moore (Kandy Kanes) Julian Hamilton, Tony Isaaccson, Hamish Gairns and Alex Evans (Kane Team 1) and Justin Cleaves, Shannon Preddy, Peter Sutterby and Vik Dau (Premature Acceleration).
